The screen goddess has affirm the ongoing rumours that some producers don’t pay their actors and actresses after working with them, she said she landed a role in a 2007 movie and was handed a GHC500 cheque but it turned out that the producer did not have enough money in the account and was aware of it.
“The day I received the cheque, I was jittery for the stated day to go clear it. On that day I dressed up early for an Adum bank and presented it at the counter and was asked to wait. The waiting period arose my suspicion and later, I was told to send back the cheque to the issuer because he had no funds in the account. I did and it would shock you he took it and gave me GH¢70” , she said.
Though this nearly kill her passion for acting , it did not deter her from pursuing the career she had chosen after quitting professional football.
Mcbrown said this was among the few challenges she had to go through before acting as a profession started to put food on her table and also leading her to stardom.
